DAVID WEBB

David Lawrence Webb, known to his closest friends as "DOC", loved life from birth. Even though he died at

an early age, 50, David lived a full, exciting, enthusiastic life and enjoyed the time God shared him with his

family and others.

David was born in Washington, D.C. on December 9, 1959 and departed this life on Sunday, October 3, 2010

in Ocean Pines, Maryland. He was the second of two sons of Loretta and Howard Webb. David attended

Jackson Road Elementary School, White Oak Junior High School and Springbrook High School in Montgomery County, Maryland.

After graduation from high school, David joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged

from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1982, he searched continually for the vocation that would go well with his

style and personality. He worked many varied jobs until he found that perfect match in the culinary arts.

Thus, his presence was felt through his creative style of cooking in several Washington, D.C. and Ocean City, Maryland restaurants. David's desire to improve his skills was realized when he attended and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finally, he could turn his passion to cook into a very satisfying career as a professional chef.

Life for "Doc", as he was affectionately known, came to an unexpected end (while sleeping) on Sunday,

October 3, 2010.

He is survived by his father, Howard C. Webb, Sr.; his mother, Loretta C. Webb; his brother Howard C. Webb, Jr., his grandmother, Rosa M. Crawford; one aunt, Constance Perry; and two uncles, Harvey Webb and Harold Webb. Many loving cousins also cherish David's remembrance.
